GSA Global have been working with Island to create a solution designed specifically to prevent Account Takeover (ATO) fraud within the retail hospitality sector.
The retail hospitality sector has been plagued in recent years by Account Takeover (ATO) fraud whereby attackers are taking over their On-Line Travel Agent platforms accounts. This enables a variety of frauds and scams to be perpetrated against both hotels and their clientele. It is estimated that ATO fraud may be costing the industry hundreds of millions of dollars globally in lost revenue and inventory. It is also damaging the reputation of individual hotels, hotel groups and the sector generally.
