Open-Source Research can be a valuable tool in identifying and mitigating various vulnerabilities within an organisation.

Ellen Davies our Lead Open-Source Investigator explains how public records be used to verify an employee’s background and reduce insider threats.

Public records, including criminal histories, presence in legal cases, financial issues (e.g. bankruptcies, insolvencies, CCJs etc), and employment verification, can help ensure that employees have a trustworthy background and aren’t in a vulnerable position where they may work against their employer’s interests for their own gain. Due diligence research utilising sources including public records can identify red flags early, thereby reducing the risk of hiring individuals who may pose security threats.
